Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship
Application Deadline:
October 31, 2016
Award Amount:
$2,000
Eligibility Requirements:
Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application
Be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia
Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2022) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education.

Visit the Unigo website and submit an online short written response (250 words or less) for the question:
“Imagine that your high school/college has been overrun with Zombies. Your math professor, the cafeteria ladies and even your best friend have all joined the walking dead. Use your brain to flesh out a plan to avoid the Zombies, including where you would hide and the top 5 things you would bring with you to stay alive.”
The Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship winner will be notified by email or phone on or around January 31, 2017.

HubShout Internet Marketing Scholarship
Application Deadline:
November 1, 2016
Award Amount:
$1,000
Eligibility Requirement:
Open to students with at least one year of college and a minimum of 3.0 GPA
To Apply:
Visit the Hubshout website and complete the short online application. The scholarship will be awarded to the strongest candidate with a demonstrated passion for Internet Marketing.
The winner will be announced on November 15th.

Money Metals Exchange Scholarship

Undergraduate Student First Place: $2,000
Undergraduate Student Runner Up: $1,000
Graduate Student First Place: $2,000

People’s Choice Award:
First Place: $500
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be an incoming or current undergraduate student or a graduate student.
To Apply:
To apply for this scholarship, visit the Money Metals Exchange website and fill out the application form. Provide proof of current attendance at a high school, college, or university. You must upload your current resume and the essay. Essays should be roughly 1,000 words in length and should answer ONE of the following questions:
How has the Federal Reserve System helped or hurt the American economy?
Most economists, even those who support private property and free markets, think that money (or monetary services, or money and banking, etc.) is a special good that must be produced and controlled by the government. Do you agree or disagree, and why?
How do you think the free market would handle money, if there were no government intervention of any kind?
How could America best return to a gold or bi-metallic standard?

When my kids are in high school I am definitely going to push them to apply to as many scholarships as possible. It’s crazy how many are out there! The ones you pointed out today I’m pretty sure most people have not and never will hear of. It goes to show that there are scholarships out there that you can really win!
