AFSAS SCHOLARSHIP
Application Deadline:

Award Amount:
10 awards of $2000.00 each
Eligibility Requirements:
Open to high school seniors who are residing in the USA.
Scholarship payable to the winner’s college/university or certified trade school in the United States; student must enroll in semester beginning no later than fall 2017.
Selection of winners is not based on financial need.

Applications will only be accepted online through the AFSA scholarship web site. You must provide all information requested to be able to submit his/her entry.
Step 1: Read all contest details.
Step 2: Read the “Fire Sprinkler Essay” You may print the essay for reference if you choose.
Step 3: Register and Take the Test.
Take a ten-question multiple-choice test. This is an open-book test and you may print the essay beforehand for reference during testing. For each question answered correctly, students will receive one (1) entry into a drawing for one of ten $2,000 scholarships. A total of ten (10) entries into the drawing is possible if the student answers all ten questions correctly.

Eligibility Requirements:
You must be a United States citizen or legal resident who is a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home-schooled students are also eligible.

Visit the digital responsibility website and complete the online application including a 140-character message about e-waste. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists. The finalists will be asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about e-waste.
