Award Amount:
7 separate scholarships totaling $18,000.
Eligibility Requirements:
Interest in National Security Intelligence
Applicants must be high school seniors planning to enroll or college sophomores attending a four or five-year college program; must be U.S. citizens; 1,000 SAT (Math or Verbal) or 21 ACT scores or higher (high school students); must have 3.0 on a 4.0 scale high school or college GPA or higher. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Below are each of the scholarships you can apply for
1. THE LIFE’S CHOICES FOUNDATION GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS – Two at $3,500. Graduate students who are focusing on national security or intelligence studies and who are, or have the intent of, serving in the U.S. Government.
2. THE AL PONTE GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD – One at $1,000
Students who are going to graduate school, focusing on International Relations and/or Intelligence, and who are either AFIO members, or children (grandchildren) of AFIO members or of serving Intelligence personnel. Non-AFIO members will be considered, so please apply if that is the only aspect an applicant lacks. Award amount is $1,000.
3. THE COLONEL SULLY H. DE FONTAINE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD – One at $1,200
Students pursuing an undergraduate degree with the intent of becoming employed within the U.S. Intelligence Community.

Interested applicants must submit an essay or thesis chapter about any aspect of the Spanish Civil War, the global political or cultural struggles against fascism in the 1920s and 1930s, or the lifetime histories and contributions of the Americans who fought in support of the Spanish Republic from 1936 to 1938. Submissions must be between 3,500 and 7,500 words.
