New Look Laser Tattoo Removal Semiannual Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:
US citizens or permanent residents with a minimum GPA of 3.0 enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university in Fall (of the current year) or Spring (of the following year).
To Apply:
Visit the New Look Laser Tattoo Removal website. This is a merit based scholarship for students pursuing higher education with an emphasis in one of the following fields: nursing, medicine, natural or applied sciences, or engineering.
Three components must be submitted for your entry: (A) Application Form, (B) Small Writing Project, and © Copy of transcript.
You must complete a Small Writing Project: On a website, blog, or online forum, write a 200-400 word post that expresses your opinion of the societal impact of laser tattoo removal, using the New Look Laser Tattoo Removal Tattoo Removal Guide as a resource. You must include a link within the website or blog post to the New Look website or our tattoo removal guide.
Criteria for evaluation: the best posts will give clear details, avoid grammatical or spelling errors, demonstrate creativity, and weave in the applicant’s personal thoughts. They must also include a link from the website or blog to the New Look website.

Tylenol Scholarship
Application Deadline:
June 30, 2016
Award Amount:
Up to 20 scholarships ranging from $500-$2500 will be awarded annually and are not renewable.
10 – $10,000 scholarships will be awarded annually and are not renewable.
30 – $5,000 scholarships will be awarded annually and are not renewable.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a resident of the United States
If you are an undergraduate student: you must have completed at least one year of undergraduate course and be able to provide proof of enrollment to a public health/health education, med school, nursing and/or pharmacy degree program.
If you are a graduate student: you must be able to provide proof of enrollment to a graduate program in public health/health education, med school, nursing and/or pharmacy degree program and have one or more years of school remaining.

An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering:
• College GPA
• Academic records in public health/health education, med school, nursing and/or pharmacy

Notifications for semi-finalists, and those not selected as semi-finalists, will be sent out via email by the end of July.
Notifications are sent to recipients and semi-finalists not selected to receive an award via email by the end of August.

Digital Privacy Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:
You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home schooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.

Visit the Digital Responsibility website. Complete the on-line application, with the following in mind: It’s important to understand that almost anything you post on the Internet is neither temporary nor private. And posting too much information can have devastating consequences. Forty-three percent of employers who checked on social media have decided not to hire someone, according to a CareerBuilder survey. Twelve percent of college admissions officers who checked Facebook decided not to admit an applicant according to a Kaplan Test Prep survey.
The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand why you should be cautious about what you post on the Internet. For more information about digital privacy, please see these articles.
Include a 140-character message about digital privacy. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists. The finalists will be asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about digital privacy.
