UPDATED FOR 2023
One of the most important aspects of simplifying life is keeping our day-to-day tasks organized. If you don’t have these basic tasks planned out and easily accessible, your whole week gets out of whack.
When this happens you end up wasting time and money. The result is more stress and life feels more overwhelming.
Because planning your days is so important, I was constantly on the hunt for the perfect planner. I searched for one that would allow me to easily organize my basic daily tasks and see my whole week at a glance. As much as I searched, I just couldn’t find one that was quite right.
Rather than admit defeat I decided to create my own.
Why You Need A Planner
As I said above, keeping your day-to-day tasks organized is essential for simplifying life. Without a plan, things quickly get away from you and chaos ensues. Having a simple planner with all of your daily tasks in one place is essential to staying productive and managing your time well.
Since the entire purpose of this blog is to help you find ways to simplify your life and manage your time well, I am sharing my free printable planner with all newsletter subscribers.

Because avoiding waste is important, the planner is a simple black-and-white printable, saving you lots of ink. It’s also designed to be printed double-sided, saving you paper.
On the right side page, I have the calendar with a column for me and each of my kiddos. This enables me to see all of our appointments at a glance and make sure everyone gets where they are supposed to be on time. You can just add the names above the columns to customize it.
On the left side, is a place to schedule your meals for the week. This makes it so easy to plan your meals according to your schedule.
Below is a place to write down any phone calls that need to be made for the week. There is also an area to write out any important things you want to remember that week.
I added a few lines to write any goals I want to focus on for the week.
To print and assemble the calendar you will need:
1 5 ½ x 8 ½ 3 ring binder, I picked mine up at Staples or you can get one here.
2. A hole punch for 5 ½ x 8 ½ paper, you can get one here.
3. Heavyweight paper or this is the type of paper I used.
4. A paper cutter. This is what I use
5. Printer
Make sure your printer is set to print the pages out in landscape orientation. Print page 1 as a single-sided copy. Print the remaining pages double-sided.
After printing, use a paper cutter to cut in the middle of the page. You’ll want the calendar on the right side of the notebook and the menu on the left side, as you assemble.
I also added a few page protector sheets, like these, and binder pockets like these. I keep my daily cleaning schedule in one of the page protector sheets and various other papers I may need when running errands and on the go.
Being able to see my weekly tasks all at once, not only keeps me organized but saves me time and money. A win, win.

Hi Fabiola, I sent you an e-mail, with some suggestions. If you could give me a few more details as to what is happening when you try to print, I may have someone other suggestions. I have not heard from anyone else having this problem, and hundreds of people have printed the calendar. If you want to shoot me another e-mail, I can try sending you a new link.

None of the links for the supplies work

Thank you so very much for letting me know this, I very much appreciate it and I am so sorry for the inconvenience. I have fixed all of the links and tested that they are in fact working now. The links are added as a convenience for you, but if for some reason you continue to have a problem, all of the supplies are also available at most any office supply store, such as Staples. But I know it is easier and often cheaper to order on line, so they should all be working now. Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy the planner!
